The R90S was the only BMW fitted with Dellorto carbs, which were 38mm. 40mm Dellortos are commonly used on Moto Guzzis and Ducatis, and many R100 owners and specials builders have replaced Bing carbs with them.
These carburettors need to be directly mounted to longer R90S style inlet stubs to allow fitting to R75, R80, R90/6 and R100 models; please see ENA00200 and ENA00200A, and FUA59819. These are used in conjunction with the heat insulating bushes FUA60885.
Fitting these carbs in this way allows you to keep the original airbox if you wish;

- You will need two of the Dellorto carb to inlet duct rubber sleeves FUA59820.
- You will need to use the inlet ducts FUA58059A and FUA58059B if your bike was produced before 09/1980, and has the two piece clamshell airbox with the round air filter.
- If your bike uses the flat air filter fitted from 09/1980 onwards, you will need two of the left hand pre 09/1980 ducts FUA58059A.
