Please note this is a 6 volt coil and two will be required to wire in series to produce 12 volts.
This coil is the original Bosch coil used by BMW for bikes with points ignition up to 09/1980, that is to say the coil with the Bosch number 0 221 100 028 on the base, and is 55.5mm in diameter.
Some early models used a coil with 0 221 100 022 on the base, which are 54.5mm in diameter. This part can be used to replace that coil too.
Please see ELR43391 for good used coil brackets to suit this item. Please note that if your original coils are the Bosch 0 221 100 022 type, you will need two of ELR43391 brackets to fit this item.
