Please note this is a 6 volt coil and two will be required to wire in series to produce 12 volts.
This coil is a replacement for both of the original Bosch coils used by BMW for bikes with points ignition produced up to 09/1980, that is to say 0 221 100 022 (54.5mm diameter) and 0 221 100 028 (55.5mm diameter).
It is supplied with a bracket, but please be aware that this bracket is not like the BMW original.
Please note: the 028/313 type coil bracket ELR43391 will not directly fit this item; this coil is 54.5mm in diameter, so a shim will be required.
Alternatively, if we have any, the 022 type coil bracket ELR31705 will work perfectly.
