These after market heavy duty retractable stands are far superior to the original, especially in strength. They attach directly to the frame, have a black epoxy finish and are simple to operate even when sitting on your machine! 
This version fits /5, /6 and /7 models which have the gear lever that mounts directly into the gearbox. From September 1977, BMW fitted a gear lever that pivoted on the footrest instead of fitting directly into the gearbox; if you have this type, please see FRA41599 (please note also, you can retrofit the later gear lever and linkage to an early bike by fitting that stand).
Please note you will need to remove your existing left hand footrest rubber and fit it to the Surefoot. Alternatively new rubbers are available, our part no is FRA54650 for the early round style or FRA34660 for the rectangular.

Please note:

This is an exchange item. We can supply a surefoot stand before receiving your exchange left hand footrest, subject to a refundable deposit, so your bike can be kept on the road. Please add FRA41598A-1, for the deposit to your basket. This will be refunded when we receive your footrest

Alternatively if you wish to send us your footrest in advance, rather than pay the deposit, just add the part number ‘EXCHANGE-1’ to your basket. When we receive your footrest we will then despatch the order.
