This was fitted by the police as a more accurate alternative to the standard BMW speedo, it is a stand alone unit that was usually fitted above the instrument pod, the drive nut where the cable attaches is a smaller thread than the standard cable, so if retro fitting you will need to address this .
As it was fitted by the police and not BMW no genuine cable is available, however we have had CAA57730A manufactured.
