This starter is an EXCHANGE ITEM ONLY, and as such incurs an exchange deposit - ELR44670A - refundable upon receipt of a reconditionable starter motor of the same type.
/5 and /6 models produced before 09/1974 (including R90S) used this starter, which features a pinion gear with 8 teeth. Please double check the number of teeth on your motor before ordering; this item will work with 93 tooth flywheels only.
This Bosch motor is no longer available new from BMW, who now supply an 9 tooth Valeo motor priced at over £400.00.
